Peterson felt there was "No more I could do." November 27, 2009 Next week CBS will air "The Happy Place" a pre-Langston episode from Season 9. It will be nice to have Grissom back on the screen. William Peterson recently did an interview for a Boise news station about leaving the show and his future plans. Peterson graduated from Bishop Kelley High School in Boise and attended Idaho State University. From the interview: "I felt there was nothing more I could do on CSI," Petersen told 2 News in an exclusive interview. "I've done all I wanted to (on the show), and I wanted to get back to the theater, where I started." And: Have we seen seen the last of Gil Grissom? Maybe not. "I have jury duty in a couple of weeks," Petersen said. "I'm hoping they may decide that maybe Gil Grissom shouldn't sit on the jury and they'll let me go. So it's back to the split personality thing, I ask, you're going to jury duty as Grissom not Petersen. "Exactly," said Grissom or Petersen, whichever one was answering at the moment. No Love for the CSI Crossover November 21, 2009 CSI's first three-show crossover was a boost to ratings, but did it do the franchise or Laurence Fishburne justice? According to USA Today's Robert Biano, the answer is no. From the article: "Considering the relative strength of the series, Fishburne's performance might be good enough and the character strong enough to function as a member of the ensemble. But what CSI needs in the still-roiling wake of William Petersen's departure is a lead character and a charismatic star turn, and Fishburne's Ray Langston is not filling either bill." Read the entire review of the episodes, which Bianco calls "reasonably well-watched but creatively disastrous" at USA TODAY. What did you think of the crossover and of Fishburne as Ray Langston? CBS increases CSI Season 10 November 5, 2009 According to TV Guide, CBS has increased the order of CSI episodes from 22 to 23 episodes this season (along with CSI: NY - CSI:Miami was increased to 24 episodes).
