Okay, so this reply is seriously delayed, and you may have figures it out by now, but here goes in any case... for the first case with Willows, be sure to re-examine evidence (esp after chatting with suspects or inspecting locations). For the spring, there are two components (the main coil, and the small piece of spring from the dustpan in the trailer). Double-click the main coil to view it, then (while the main coil is still displaying on screen) drag the small bit of spring onto the main coil and there you go, they 'connect'. You can then use your magnifier to view where you joint the metal. You can re-examine the Komawa tool (and I think you should re-examine the image under the scope as well). You should be able to solve from there....

i have mastered all the games and the last one i mastered,the 3 dimensions(i had a problem with the sercond case) i felt infuriated with the fact there is no bonus material,or is it the fact that I am missing a piece of evidence in the 2nd mission ? The only evidence I haven't anlyzed yet is a partial fingerprint and I don't know how to get it to the computer at the csi lab
