Fascinating facts:


In 1978, he had both legs amputated after suffering burns over 65% of his body because of a car crash (he was crushed by an 18-wheeler). He uses prosthetics.


He graduated UCLA in 1971 with a degree in English Literature.

Is there an episode that mentions Doc's handicap? I know that he is a double amputee, but i was wondering what the writers are saying about his crutches.
