Langston...AGAIN !?!

Seriously are those scriptwriters trying to tease us or something ?
Personally I think that the whole situation is very serious...

AND AIN'T IT GREAT? He's a consummate riveting actor and he rocked in all 3 episodes, Hats off to the writers for choosing this fabulous actor. I'm thrilled and delighted and so were 16.9 million fans who tuned in. I like everything about him~ 1  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

I quit watching CSI: Miami years ago because I couldn't stand Caruso. I've now found someone who irritates me even more than Caruso. I was actually enjoying CSI: Miami until Langston appeared on the scene. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Yes, I was one of those 16.9 million who tuned in for CSI.....certainly not Langston.

There was that scene in CSI: NY where Langston was supposed to be all torn up about calling the girl's mother. I felt absolutely nothing for Langston. I know if the CSI who had to make that call was Catherine, Nick, Greg, Sara, Grissom or Warrick, I so would have felt bad for them. For Langston, bah, absolutely no emotional connection to the character.

I haven't seen the crossover yet (stupid British TV) but I'm not sure I want to, cause I think Miami will be ruined if Langston goes there AND (very big AND) he's going there by HIMSELF?!?! HELLO, he's a CSI level two, for Gods sake. Last time Cath AND Warrick went, that's two level three's! They're shoving all the attention onto him cause he's a big star, which is kinda pathetic and its causing the show to become unrealistic. Viewer ratings have dropped since he replaced Grissom (an obvious mistake) and he's just so BLAND! Yet I am dedicated to the show, so I will force myself to watch despite his ruinous acting (if I sound really mean, it's cause I'm in a really BAD mood) 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I don't think that sounded mean because that's how I feel about Langston, especially since I had quit watching Miami but was enjoying it in the crossover UNTIL Langston showed up.

Another thing....I wish they would stop having Langston pulling 'Grissoms'. That was just so wrong in NY when he started spouting about the origins of firearms. That's something Grissom would've done. Wish they would quit trying to have Langston replace Grissom. IT CAN'T BE DONE!

I saw a preview for a movie coming out in December. LF is in it. Wish he would realize how much more he likes movies than TV and leave at the end of his contract!

CSI: Miami was ruined from the moment it started. I have only seen the first season.

I didn't like the first season, so I stopped watching it, but then I saw it again in season four, when Megan and Speed were gone and Ryan was there, and I really liked him so I kept watching, despite the fact I HATE Calleigh, and for the record I think Horatio is OK, not bad, not good, but okay!

I noticed that there was hardly anyone there that I recognized from the original cast. Only Horatio and Calleigh were familiar.

On Dec. 17, in "Better Off Dead" Sara will be working with Dr. Langston, and they both already admire and respect each other, from what I've observed so far. So, I and others have been waiting for them to work together on a crme scene. They have similar personailty traits, and it will be great to see them working closley in this episode~ 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Right, I finally saw 10:02 ghost town.

Frankly, it was ridiculously terrible.

Catherine tells Ray that they need new eyes on the Millander case. So THREE top CSI's couldn't solve a simple murder case while the newest CSI, who has been there less than a season, figured it out almost immediately, shooting down the others ideas and making them look stupid. Then we were supposed to feel sympathy for him cause he has an aggressive father, which is stupid. His dad sounds like mine, but I don't go whining about it! Not to mention that the other CSI's all have their dark stories, it's starting to become part of the job. He's the rookie, why are they treating him like the boss, if everyone's forgotten that is CATHERINE!!!

He never acts like he's the BOSS, quite the opposite, he's always receptive to the whole team and their suggestions, especially CATHERINE. Don't forget that she likes him as does the rest of the team.. If fans don't care for him, that's their business, but the team has embraced him and TPTB did bring him in to replace WP, and he's doing a magnificent job. He's a laid back cool, smooth operator, and brilliant, they all admire and respect. Catherine does not act like she' in charge ,only when it suits her. The "Lovers Lane" ep. he stepped back and let them enjoy their own bonding and smiled, watching them bowl & having fun and didn't butt in~ 1  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

He only "stepped back and let them enjoy their own bonding" because he wasn't even on the set when that scene was shot.

Also, TPTB specifically said he was not to be Grissom's replacement which at least in that part is true because he is not officially the nightshift supervisor! Unfortunately, they sure have him acting as Grissom's replacement!

what I've enjoyed about his character Dr. Langston is how the team welcomed him and is were warm and friendly towards him, and they are all in admiration of him. Nick and him work wonderfully together, Doc and him the same love of "blues music" Greg and him having a funny, cute moment, talking to their selves. Brass works well with him Mandy is in awe of him, Sara likes him she smiles when he's talking and they'll work fantastic together. And, even Hodges is warming up to him, which is kind of a miracle beings Grissom was his hero and he worshiped him. Cath said at one point" Your off the clock" he goes "I know"and she smiled and said' See ya' in the morning" and smiled. They all love him, and that's what comes across to me on the show. NO one can ever replace WP, but he's gone~ and Laurence Fisburne is here. He's a hero in his own skin, not to mention a great actor. I think he's doing a tremendous job~ 0  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree that Fishburne is a great actor, but Ray warm and friendly? I can't see it, his voice grates on my nerves, and he seems rather bland (a word I often use to describe him). Just because the CSI's welcomed him doesn't mean he's a nice person; the CSI's are nice to any new members. Take Riley; they were nice to her despite the fact that not a lot of viewers liked her.

What if Langston hadn't come on the show? Catherine would take her rightful place as the supervisor, giving cases out FAIRLY (anyone else notice how much cases Ray was in charge of in Season 9 despite being Level 1?), and maybe all the time the camera was aimed at him might have been given to people who are more deserving, mainly the lab techs who have been on the show for MUCH longer and yet are still seen so little (and I don't mean Wendy and Hodges, I mean Bobby, Archie, Henry and Mandy. So far David is the only one to get his deserving plae on the cast list). Season 10's theme is supposed to be family, yet for the few episodes I have seen it doesn't seem like that, except on rare occasions (lovers lane ending)

I have to say that the lab rats have rarely been seen last season or this season. I can't remember the last time we saw Bobby and Archie used to be in at least half the episodes. Now it seems that Greg is doing almost all of the lab work. All the focus is on Langston now. When Grissom was around, his character did not hog the limelight like Langston. Grissom didn't need to. He was a great, lovable character who did not need to be shoved down our throats.

I said the "team" were warm and friendly towards him, and welcomed him . And this show is different then it was in the past. I embrace this new guy and find him a big huge rugged sexy man, with a lot of his own brand of charm. He's the star now, and I've never seen him telling anybody what to do or not to do. Again he's very receptive and takes new ideas theories and views from the whole team. I find Catherine annoying and she and her voice grates on my nerves. To each ones own. I feel priviledged and honored that we've got LF as the new part of this great show. And as far as the "Lab Rats', maybe the writers don't feel the need to show them in leading roles. I like Archie and the rest, but as far as being featured, they dont have the clout that the rest of the cast does. And Riley had a "attitude" that no one really enjoyed and she was BORING, he's certainly not boring. I guess if I felt that strongly against a cast member and didn't care for them, I probably wouldn't watch the show! The writers are the ones who have him featured exclusively that's why they hired him, to be the lead, not to be shoved in the background~ 0  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

It must really bug you that some people don't like Langston and/or Fishburne. Preach away. I don't like the character or the actor and I don't foresee that changing at any time in the foreseeable future.
