The actress, Marg Helgenberger stated before season 11 began that she would not return after season 11 ended. She has since said, she won't return for a full season, but would be willing to return for a few episodes. So, it's the actress behind the decision, not the powers that be. *sigh* 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Thank you :) it is a shame i love Catherine Willows/ Marg Helgenberger <3 do you know what happens to Catherine 1.) why does she leave and 2.) why does she come back in season 12 and 3.) why does she leave again not marg ... catherine :) <3 because i live in the uk i will have to wait a long time to find out i cant wait that long! :) i only just watched 11.15- last night .... :) 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Season 11 finale is just that, the season finale, Marg Helgenberger's character departure is being written into Season 12 (supposedely mysterious too not like Jorja's departure). Word is that Billy Petersen will be back for her departure. Personally I think they'll do a few Catherine oriented episodes prior to her inevitable departure, be it her demise or leaving for a south pacific island. Keep an eye on the entertainment news as contracts are under review in May. Sources: Margamania and JFO 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The reason why is because she can't go any higher. If she wanted to, she could take over Comrades position, but then, we know how she acts when she has power like that. Plus, we don't need another Comrade.

I know that it's sad enough that Grissom left, but Cath is my personal fave (after Greg). 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Yeaaaah good point! :L She is a good leader though! Its gonna go downhill when she leaves.. George Eads is the only main member of the team left that has been there all the way through since the beggining...Except Eric Szmanda but he hasnt always been a main character...Oh well... Im sure her replacement will be good.. :/ Do you find this valuable?

I think all fans are going to be and feel empty without her. Lordy 12 years.. the "QUEEN" of CSI. it'sll be really strange without her.. and MERRY CHRISTMAS to capt_brass and all the rest of the fans.. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?
